Pest Control Technician Job at Rozier Termite and Pest Control, South Hill, VA

  • Rozier Termite and Pest Control
  • South Hill, VA

Job Description

Pest Control Technician Company Overview Rozier Termite & Pest Control is offering a full-time opportunity to build a career in a skilled trade--without needing previous pest control experience. You'll be paid while you learn, receive support earning your Virginia Pest Control License, and develop the technical and customer-service skills needed to manage your own service route. For someone who wants hands-on work, independence, and a path to grow their earnings, this is an opportunity to build a trade you can take pride in. The Opportunity Get paid to learn a skilled trade, earn your Virginia license, and build toward greater responsibility and earning potential. Your first 30-45 days include paid training and company-provided training materials. From there, you'll apply what you've learned in the field, develop your own route-management skills, and become increasingly confident diagnosing and solving pest problems for customers. As your experience and certifications grow, so can your responsibilities and earning potential. What's In It For You Get paid while you learn: Start with 30-45 days of paid training and support toward your Virginia Pest Control License. Build a real skilled-trade career: Develop technical expertise in inspections, pest identification, treatment, prevention, and customer service. Work with independence: Spend your days in the field managing a route and solving different problems at residential and commercial properties. Take the job home with you: Drive a company-provided route vehicle, with fuel and maintenance covered. Increase your earning potential: Earn $19-$23 per hour based on experience and licensing, plus opportunities for approximately $200-$400+ per month through sales bonuses, tips, and seasonal overtime. Grow with your experience: Gain certifications and route experience that can lead to increased responsibility and earnings. Have benefits that support you: Access health insurance options, company retirement plans, and paid time off. What You'll Accomplish As you become established in the role, you'll: Learn to inspect homes and businesses, identify pest activity, and determine the likely causes of infestations. Build the skills to independently manage a daily service route across South Hill and surrounding communities. Solve customer problems by recommending appropriate treatment and prevention options. Develop confidence communicating directly with customers and explaining your recommendations. Apply EPA-approved products safely while following established safety and environmental procedures. Build a track record of reliable service, accurate documentation, and satisfied customers. What Success Looks Like in Your First Year By the end of your first 6-12 months, you'll be building toward: Independence: Managing your assigned route reliably and handling routine service needs with increasing confidence. Expertise: Applying your training and Virginia licensing to accurately identify and address common pest problems. Customer trust: Communicating professionally and providing solutions customers understand and value. Career growth: Adding certifications, technical knowledge, and route experience that position you for greater responsibility. Higher earning potential: Taking advantage of available sales incentives, tips, seasonal overtime, and opportunities associated with increased experience and qualifications. What You'll Bring You don't need prior pest control experience. We can teach the technical side of the job if you bring the right approach. You'll be a strong fit if you: Have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements. Show up reliably, communicate clearly, and take pride in doing quality work. Enjoy solving practical problems rather than doing the same thing every day. Are comfortable working outdoors throughout the year. Can handle physical work such as standing, walking, bending, climbing, and working in crawl spaces or attics. Are comfortable interacting directly with customers. Can pass a standard pre-employment background check and meet Virginia registration requirements. Previous pest control experience or a Virginia Pest Control Technician license is a plus, but it is not required. Compensation and Benefits $19.00-$23.00 per hour , based on experience and Virginia licensing. $200-$400+ additional monthly earning potential through sales bonuses, tips, and seasonal overtime. 30-45 days of paid training. Training materials provided. Support earning your Virginia Pest Control License. Company route vehicle with fuel and maintenance covered. Health insurance options. Company retirement plans. Paid time off: 8 hours per month during Years 1-2, increasing to 12 hours per month. Opportunities to increase responsibility and earning potential as you gain certifications and route experience. Work Location / Schedule Location: South Hill, Virginia, serving South Hill and surrounding communities. Work style: Field-based and on the road. Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday day shift. Occasional weekend and seasonal overtime may be available during peak spring and summer months. #J-18808-Ljbffr
