Job Description

Associate Research Scientist position in the Vaccine Science Department at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Richmond, Virginia facility. The role involves performing analytical testing, method development, and data analysis for pharmaceutical products while leading projects and communicating with clients on regulatory and technical matters.

Responsibilities Independently perform analytical testing, method optimization, and validation studies for pharmaceutical compounds Design and execute experiments while adhering to established methods and protocols Review and prepare study protocols, status reports, and final technical documents Communicate data and technical findings to clients on a weekly or as-needed basis Lead analytical troubleshooting sessions and provide technical guidance to laboratory staff Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent formal academic or vocational qualification 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical analytical testing or related laboratory work Proficiency with analytical instrumentation and data analysis Knowledge of GMP/GLP compliance and standard operating procedures Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions Ability to work independently and lead technical troubleshooting Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
